Oslo, partner (s) in crime needed

HI! I’m 29yo, been living in Oslo for a while and I could use some new faces around me. A bit about me - I travelled a lot, I’m very curious, openminded and kind but straightforward. Lots of positive energy, very good hugger, educated, well-read, physically active. I love interacting with people and surroundings. When I see someone pretty on the street, I come to them and I say it. Not afraid of changing my opinions if proven wrong. Not afraid of trying new things and failing.
I’m looking for a friend for certain activities:

  • volunteering; I’m not sure where, maybe you have a proposition?
  • board games; I get very competitive when it comes to that so it would be great if you are too.
  • outdoor activities; I love team sports but I dont have enough time to join any organised thing. Basketball, football, ping-pong. Whatever includes bouncing ball - I’ll do it. Very happy to run and get tired. Whatever includes getting tired - I’ll do it.
  • woodwork and any DIY
  • chess; I started playing a month ago and I’m very bad at it but you can be ruthless with me, I’d like to practise and get better.
  • deep talks about life and death especially if you’re in your 60s or further in life; I appreciate meaningful conversation with people who have seen it all.
My life is full of different things, I also work a lot so I’m not a good match for someone who needs to meet with me often. I prefer quality over amount and I hold onto people once I know we are good for each other.
If you read this and you like the vibe, you’re curious to get to know me or you’d like to do any of these activities with me, just hit me up. Age or sex don’t matter to me. Also I had my share of troubles in life so I can be very understanding if you come with a baggage.
    PS. I don’t have snap, I’ve noticed it’s a common question here.

Hiya!

I’m interested in doing some of these activities as well. Send me a PM if you’d like to talk further :)

Things I’d like to do:

  • Volunteering - Yes, I’ve been thinking about this for a while too. I am eyeing to do something once a week or so, but it has to be the right fit for me. If you have any good ideas I’d love to talk about it. I have nothing to propose myself right as of this moment though.
  • Board games - Definitely! I’m only medium on the competitive side, but I love a close board game fight and I’m not against winning ;)
  • Ball games - I’m on board with this too! Things like tennis, ping-pong and bowling is right up my alley. I used to play football too, but don’t really have the stamina for the running anymore.

As a person I too consider myself openminded, as well as honest and empathic. I love to read, play games, watch films, look at art, make food, among other things.

I’m more of a introverted person though, and my small talk skills are not great. I’m not the reaching out to strangers type, but I don’t necessarily mind if you are. Plus I do like good talks about the things I care about. So my thinking is, either we’ll get along fantastically- or not at all. But we won’t know until we meet! ;)

So yeah, let me know if this sounds interesting. All the best.

Hey stranger!
I finally found some time to properly answer you. I loved every sentence of your message! I’d definitely love to hang out and I’d love to do it soon. Since I wrote that post I found volunteering as “everyday help for people with cancer”. I have an interview later today and I hope I’ll get in. They require being active ca. 2 times a month for at least 6 months. Each visit is up to 2 hours and is about helping people suffering from cancer with different things. I guess it’s like doing shopping, maybe cleaning, maybe moral support. So I’m curious how that will go.
About board games - what are your favourites? Mine is Catan. Absolutely enjoy this game. I also like Backgammon and Rummy. Not a big fan of Ticket to ride.
You know, I’ve never played tennis! Never had an opportunity to do that. Lately I went to the library Stovner to study and I was shocked to see that they put ping pong table in there and some boys were playing it haha I didn’t mind the noise but I was genuinely surprised by combination of sport and library. Weird experience.
Are you any good at bowling? I totally suck at it but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying it. I never really got the laws of physics of bowling I guess. What are you reading these days? I’m reading Narnia in Norwegian as its the only fantasy book that I found which doesn’t have translated names. I tried Harry Potter but calling Hogwart Galtvort was too much for me haha And you love making food?? That’s amazing! What’s your favourite type of food to make? Would it be desserts, vegan patties, soups, roasted meat, one pot dishes?
Are you on some social media platforms? I’m using Instagram most frequently. I’m @snikare.a if you’re comfortable moving conversation to more reachable way. Totally cool if you’d rather keep it here! Please feel free to tell me more about yourself. Like what are you up to these days, what do you work with (if you work), if you name your plants etc.
Very happy to hear from you :) Have a good one!

Hi! Not a big social media user here, so I’ll send you a PM :)
